In September 2026, a small-business presentation website costs anywhere from a few hundred euros to tens of thousands, depending on how many pages you buy and who builds it. Clutch’s web design pricing guide, updated 2 September 2026, shows that most reviewed projects cost less than $10,000. If you run a clinic, an office, or a trade in Romania, the useful question is what kind of site you need so people call you — not a US range copied into an invoice.

At LOLOTECH, a one-page presentation website costs €500 + VAT, delivered in 3–5 working days. The offer is on the websites page.

What do small firms actually pay in 2026?

US figures and Romanian figures are not the same product. Keep them apart.

On the market Clutch reviews (pricing guide, 2 September 2026): listed web design agencies typically charge $2,000 to $100,000, depending on scope. Most reviewed projects sit under $10,000. Clutch’s published arithmetic average is $38,105 — pulled up by long projects (7 months on average) and complex sites, not by a plumber’s one-pager.

On the Clutch 2026 survey, summarised by Digital Applied on 8 April 2026: 61% of small-business buyers spent under $10,000 on their most recent site, and 84% spent under $20,000. The same data shifted upward from 2023 (then 68% under $10,000): buyers more often want original design and conversion tools, not only a template.

For a US small-business site, Digital Applied (April 2026) puts the typical band at $3,000–$15,000: $3,000–$8,000 on a theme with a freelancer, and $8,000–$15,000 at a boutique agency for 10–15 pages.

In Europe, Devimus’s compilation of 12 June 2026 places an equivalent professional project, usually, at €800–€5,000. That is not an official EU survey. It is a market bookmark, not a floor price.

None of these sources tell you what you “should” pay. They say what was paid, on which kind of project, in 2026.

Why does the price swing from €300 to €15,000?

You are not buying “a website”. You are buying a bundle of work. The price rises when any of these grow:

  • Number of pages. One page with Home, Services, About, questions and Contact is one product. Five empty pages plus a shop is another.
  • How much is written from scratch. Adapting copy already on Google and Facebook is included in my package. A slogan, a brand story and copy from zero are quoted separately.
  • Who owns the domain and the code. If you remain a tenant on a builder, you did not buy an asset. You rented a subscription.
  • Features you will not use. Shop, online booking, accounts, a custom backend. They are out of the presentation package. They are quoted separately, so you do not pay for them “by default”.
  • Who does the work. Clutch (September 2026) puts typical listed-agency hourly rates at $100–$149 in the US. Poland appears at $25–$49 per hour. Digital Applied (April 2026) puts Eastern European senior rates at $45–$120 per hour. Romania has no official tariff. It has very different public offers for very different things.

A one-line price, with no scope and no statement of who owns the domain, is a warning — cheap or expensive.

How much does a presentation website cost in Romania?

There is no official Romanian market average. There are offers. Digital Rocket’s guide of 18 April 2026, written by a Romanian agency, places the local market roughly here: a freelancer landing page at €300–€800; a 5–10 page presentation site at €800–€2,500 with a freelancer and €2,000–€7,000 at a boutique agency; large agencies at €7,000–€20,000 for the same type of project. Those are commercial-guide ranges, not a census.

For a clinic, a lawyer, or a trades firm, you usually do not need 10 pages and a 15-person team. You need a fast page, on a phone, with the firm’s facts, a call button, WhatsApp, a map, and the same details as on the Google profile. What Google and ChatGPT need to see on that page is in the guide to a local business website in 2026.

DIY builder, freelancer, or developer — what are you buying?

AI builder / Wix / Squarespace. Website Builder Expert’s 2026 comparison puts annual Wix plans from $17/month (Light) and Squarespace Basic around $16–$19/month, billed annually. Devimus (June 2026) summarises DIY at about $17–$50/month. You pay little up front. You do the work. The copy often comes out generic. The domain and the site sit on the platform’s rules. For a firm that lives on calls, the subscription is cheap; your time and copy identical to the neighbour’s are not.

Freelancer. You can get a good site or an abandoned file. Ask who owns the domain, whether you get Search Console, whether the number is tappable on mobile, and what happens after delivery.

Agency. You pay for a team, a process, deadlines. That makes sense for a shop, a platform, 20 pages. For a local presentation page, you often pay overhead you will not use.

A site built for you, on your domain. A fixed-price product, a short deadline, contact on mobile, and a citable structure. That is what I sell on local business websites: €500 + VAT, one page, 3–5 working days, you keep the domain.

I will not promise position 1 in Google, and I will not promise that ChatGPT will cite you. The price buys a site you own, written on the firm’s facts, ready to be read — by people and by answer engines. Visibility remains a matter of true content, the Google profile and reviews, not a slogan in a quote.

What must be in the price, so you do not pay twice?

Check the list, not the slogan:

  1. The domain is yours. SSL included. At the end you receive technical ownership, not a login on someone else’s account.
  2. Call and WhatsApp on mobile, visible in three seconds.
  3. Map, form, hours, service area — text, not only a picture.
  4. Basic SEO metadata and submission to Google Search Console.
  5. A structure with answers, not only a pretty hero. Without that, SEO, AEO and GEO stay theory on an empty site.
  6. One revision round and a deadline in working days, not “when we can”.
  7. What is not included, written plainly: shop, booking, branding from scratch.

Maintenance is a separate line. Digital Applied (April 2026) estimates $3,600–$12,720 a year for a US small-business site if you stack managed hosting, a retainer, analytics and content. In Romania, for a presentation page, you do not need that order of magnitude. My Care plan is optional: €29/month, hosting, updates, monitoring, and small text or photo edits, capped at 30 minutes per month. Without Care, the site is still yours.

What does a LOLOTECH presentation website cost, exactly?

€500 + VAT, once. 50% deposit, 50% on delivery. Delivery in 3–5 working days after the deposit and after I have your details, address and photos.

Included: one page (Home, Services, About, questions, Contact), call/WhatsApp, Google Maps, a contact form, SEO metadata, Search Console, domain + SSL, a privacy policy, one revision round. Not included: a shop, online booking, accounts, studio photography, branding from scratch. An extra language, extra revision rounds and copy from zero are quoted separately.

If the current page is a template with the wrong phone number, a builder you no longer open, or a 2014 site, a new site on your domain is usually cheaper than another year in which clients search and cannot read you. See what a presentation website includes and ask for a concept on your firm.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a small-business website cost in 2026?

It depends on scope. Per Clutch’s guide of 2 September 2026, most reviewed web design projects cost under $10,000. The Clutch 2026 survey, summarised by Digital Applied in April 2026, puts 61% of SMBs under $10,000. In Romania, 2026 market guides usually place a freelancer presentation site between a few hundred euros and about €2,500. At LOLOTECH, a one-page presentation site for local businesses costs €500 + VAT.

How much does a presentation website cost in Romania?

There is no official tariff. Public 2026 offers run from a few hundred euros for a simple page to thousands for a 5–10 page agency site. A clinic or a trade usually needs a fast page, on mobile, with contact and facts — not a platform.

Does the price include a position in Google or ChatGPT?

No. Nobody serious sells position 1. A fair price buys a site you own, with the firm’s details in plain view, metadata, Search Console, and a structure answer engines can read. The rest is ongoing work: Google profile, reviews, identical NAP, true content.

How much does maintenance cost for a presentation site?

DIY builders are billed monthly (in 2026, usually $16–$50, plus the domain). A site you own still needs hosting and updates. At LOLOTECH, Care is €29/month, optional. Without it, you remain the owner of the site and the domain.

Why €500 and not €5,000?

Because the package is one presentation page, not a shop, not 15 pages, and not an agency team. You pay for a bounded product: contact on mobile, a clear structure, your domain, delivery in 3–5 days. Anything outside the list is quoted separately.
