Yes. A notary office in Romania can have its own page. At LOLOTECH, the presentation page costs €500 + VAT, is delivered in 3–5 working days, and includes call, WhatsApp, a map, and a form. The code of ethics, in the form after 4 May 2017, names the professional website among the forms of individual advertising. The list is on the websites page.
Where does the permission for the page come from?
The code of ethics for public notaries was approved by Decision no. 9/2015 of the Congress of public notaries and published in the Official Gazette no. 930 of 16 December 2015. In that form, article 16 said individual advertising was forbidden, and the website was an exception. Article 17(2) forbade, on the page and on social networks, a fee calculator, model deeds, and solutions to concrete cases.
Decision no. 10 of 21 April 2017 of the Council of the National Union of Public Notaries amended the code. It was published in the Official Gazette no. 319 of 4 May 2017. JURIDICE.ro, on 5 May 2017, reproduces the annex. Article 16 was replaced. The new letter (b) says individual advertising also means “holding a professional website and/or a page on social networks, in compliance with this code.” The same decision repeals article 17(2). Article 17(1), which is not on the list of amendments, remains: advertising through professional websites or through social networks is permitted.
The free fragment on Lege5, read on 2 November 2026, says it reproduces the form in the Official Gazette and does not include later amendments. The 2015 ban is still on that page. For a website, the text to use is the one after 4 May 2017.
The lines below are a reading of these published texts. They are not a ruling of the Chamber on your office and they do not replace the code. You check the wording before it is published.
A notary office is not an SRL. The company identification list, when the page belongs to an SRL, sits separately: what company details a website in Romania must show.
The rules for a lawyer are a different act. Do not copy them here: what a law-firm website in Romania can say.
What do you put on the page?
The presentation page holds the facts of the office, in text, not in an image:
- the notary’s name and the name of the office
- the address, the phone number, and the hours
- the acts you actually draw up, said shortly: sale, succession, power of attorney, divorce, as you do them
- how a person reaches the office
On the websites page, the product is one page: Home, Services, About, questions, Contact. You send the text. An extra address is quoted separately: one page or more.
Can you put the fee calculator on it?
Not inside the €500 + VAT. The calculator, downloadable model deeds, and online booking are not on the page. They are quoted separately, if you want them.
The 2017 repeal took the old ban off the page. It did not put a calculator inside the price of a presentation page. The fee for a particular act is set at the office. The minimum fees are in the Norms approved by Order of the Minister of Justice no. 177/C of 19 January 2024, published in the Official Gazette no. 70 of 26 January 2024. The text, checked on 2 November 2026 on legislatie.just.ro, also has the supplement in the Official Gazette no. 19 of 13 January 2025. The 2017 annex of the code still names Order no. 46/C/2011 under unfair competition. Before you publish a figure, you read the order in force. Do not copy the tariff from the old text.
Does a Facebook page replace the site?
No. Article 16(b), in the form of 4 May 2017, and article 17(1) also name social networks. You can have the Facebook page. It stays the platform’s. The site, with the domain in your name, is where the name, the hours, the address, and the phone number stay.
The map profile is another channel: do I need a website if I have Google Business.
How much does the page cost?
€500 + VAT, once. 50% in advance, 50% on delivery. 3–5 working days after the advance and after your details, address, and photos. In the price: call, WhatsApp, a map, a form, metadata, Search Console, the domain and SSL at delivery, a privacy policy, one revision round. After handover, the page and the domain stay yours.
Outside the sum are the fee calculator, a shop, online booking, studio photography, and branding from scratch. Care, €29 a month, is optional: hosting, updates, monitoring, and small text or photo edits, capped at 30 minutes. Without Care, you remain the owner. The difference from renewing a .ro domain is in how much website maintenance costs in Romania. Market ranges for a presentation page, not the notarial tariff, are in how much a presentation website costs in Romania.
A position in Google and a mention in ChatGPT are not sold with the page.
If the office still has no page because the 2015 text looked like a ban, see what a presentation website includes and send the office name, the hours, and the address.
