A small step in #OneAppPerQuarter: I added an AI chat to my portfolio

A small step in my #OneAppPerQuarter series: a more interactive portfolio where visitors can ask about my professional background instead of searching through pages.

The #OneAppPerQuarter series goes on.

After writing about how AI helped me build with more clarity and simplicity, and after deciding to bring older projects back to life, I made another step that matters a lot to me: I integrated an AI chat into lolotech.io, my personal portfolio.

It is not the kind of feature that changes the world. But it is the kind of thing that makes me happy because it makes a product feel more alive, more natural, and closer to how people actually look for information today.

The idea is simple: instead of navigating through the website to learn about me, my experience, or the projects I have worked on, you can simply ask.

The chat answers based on the professional information already available on the site. It is not meant to invent things, and it does not go into personal areas. Its role is very clear: make relevant information about me easier to access, in a conversational way.

That is the part I really like.

A personal website or portfolio is often built like a collection of pages that the visitor has to browse through on their own. But sometimes people do not want to search. They just want to ask something directly:

What technologies do you work with?

What kinds of projects have you built?

What products do you like creating?

What is your experience?

I liked the idea of turning the portfolio from a place where information is simply presented into a place where you can actually interact with it.

I used OpenAI for this integration, and even if the final result looks simple on the surface, the implementation and learning process were the most valuable part for me. I enjoyed building it, understanding more clearly how AI can be used in a real context, and seeing how a small idea can become a real product experience.

Maybe it is not a huge change. But it is one that feels meaningful.

Because this is exactly the kind of progress I care about right now: practical improvements, ideas shipped online, experiments that help me learn and build better. Every implementation like this reminds me that AI is valuable not only as a technology, but also as a way to make software products more accessible, more natural, and more useful.

In a way, this small AI chat connects perfectly with what #OneAppPerQuarter means to me.

Not just launching things, but learning by building, testing real ideas, making products simpler and enjoying the process.
